Wonderful boat Trip on Bosphorus
Took the afternoon trip ‘Anadolu kavağı’ collected from Hotels .The drive to the horbour was quite interesting and enjoyable .
The boat was not crowded and quite comfortable . Comentary by the Guide was excellent could listen without getting bored .
Expression and historical explanations were truly informative. Workers in the boat has been so kind and cheerful .
We cruised between Asian and Europe sides all the important and historical places Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi Palaces , Rumeli Fortress the Maiden’s tower , bridges .
And the Legend about that tower was really impressive. I can only say one single thing about the lunch is that was incredibly tasty , definitly mut be tried .
About 14:00 we got the small harbour village which is called ‘Anadolu kavağı’ when I step on that small cute village felt like I was in a different world with full of possitive energy.
We returned the same place where we started the tour and buses were waiting for us to pick us up to our hotels. Our driver kindly dropped us in Spice Market .
Great value for 35 Euros. Was perfect.
Bosphorus & Black Sea Cruise: Very nice way to spend a day on the water, enjoying the sights of the Bosphorus.
For one of our first days in Istanbul, we wanted to take a sightseeing cruise along the Bosphorus and to the Black Sea: to see the sights, get oriented,
and it sounds cool to go see the Black Sea. This cruise service didn't disappoint.
Pick-up and return to the hotel was prompt, efficient and friendly. At the dock, we were surprised that a small boat arrived, but once the cruise began,
the intimacy of the boat was a pleasure. Both the covered seating area and the open top deck included comfortable padded benches, almost sofas,
all around the perimeter, with tables and ottomans throughout.
There was none of the crowded front-facing plastic seats that fill more conventional sightseeing cruise boats.
Service was relaxed, pleasant and attentive. We weren't waited on like in a restaurant (which as fine); instead, almost home-style. Lunch in particular was tasty and generous:
chicken freshly grilled at the upper-deck charcoal grill, accompanied by a meze assortment.
Our guide offered an extensive history of Turkey, including much opinionated commentary about contemporary human rights and the situation as well as some facts about monuments
that we passed or visited.
There was a nice rhythm between cruise time and land visits. We stopped at a fishing village at the mouth of the Black Sea (working fishing village rather than the
charming picturesque variety). These destinations were moderately interesting in themselves; however since it was a beautiful sunny day,
just walking around and enjoying the various views were the real pleasures.
Overall, the cruise was the best experience we had.
Excellent Boat tour up the Bosphorus to the Black Sea
We took the half day tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent lunch served on board and as we boated up the Bosphorus. The bus picked us up from our hotel and took us to the boat,
We saled all the way to the Black Sea, it was too cold to swim but we enjoyed the tour and the guide pointed out all the significant locations along the shore.
Very friendly staff.
Do not miss this
We booked this great cruise online but paid on the boat as we were not event asked to give our credit card detals to guarantee the tour booking. However, We were picked up from our hotel on time
and taken there without too much of a detour to pick up others and the boat was truly lovely. The deck had ample seating and a canteen well stocked with cold drinks and teas/coffees.
The restaurant below was clean, well air conditioned and the food was actually yummy, possibly one of our nicest meals on the trip.
There were quite a few people and it didn't run short. It was a hot day but the breeze kept us quite cool and there was a cloth shade to protect us from direct sun light.
The stop at the fishing village was also very nice, It's a good break and you walk around these little cafes and shops and soak in the sights and smells.
The view from the boat is spectacular. Lovely houses all the way and then to see Istanbul from the river is a wholly different experience.
At the end of it we were dropped back promptly and all in all it was a great experience.
Excellent halfday tour of the Bosporus Strait
I did the half day afternoon Bosphorus and Black Sea tour with them
There was some confusion at the pickup, as they were at the Saba Hotel, while I stayed at the Saba Sultan Hotel, but this was quickly solved.
After that, we were shuttled to the boat, along with some other groups.
The boat itself was very nice and there was enough space to move around. It felt also very safe, not overcrowded etc.
The guide was quite informative with regards to all the sights to be seen along the route.
After the tour we were shuttled back to the respective hotels.
I can recommend this company.
Great day with Bosphorus Tours Istanbul
The boat trip was very enjoyable and the food delicious and very fresh. The staff was very friendly. We definitely felt like we were on holidays ! I recommend it
Lovely Cruise and buffet
We took the afternoon cruise to the Black Sea with lunch. We did initially think it was a bit expensive, however it was our last day in Istanbul and we had certainly not spent
as much as we had budgeted, so we went for it. It was definately worth it. We were picked up and dropped back at our hotel - both picks were on time.
The guide spoke into a mike which was pipped around the boat, this meant you could hear if you were sitting in the restaurant part or on the top deck. The buffet was huge with a
large selection of food, something for all tastes, hot or cold, it was very tasty and once the crowd had gone, we went back for seconds - we were to full to eat that evening,
so in a way, this was also cost effective ! - the cruise was very informative and it was lovely floating down the Bosphorus. It is a 4 1/2 hr cruise, 2 hrs one way with
a 45 minute stop over in Anadolu - a little village just before the Black Sea, then 2 hrs back again, docking at 5.30. Very enjoyable afternoon and I would recommend this tour.
half day st-8 boat tour
Booked half day tour which is cold Anadolu kavagi , till Black Sea and having 30 minutes of stopover in a small harbour city , punctual , and delicious foods tour was in 2 languages ;
Spanish and English , Guides were good enough , on pronunciation to make everybody understand clearly . Helpful and warm people , you don't feel as a client ,
you feel as a guest in one of your friends home , Taking to hotel at 17.30 as promised . It was good liked it .
Good Bosphorus boat trip including surprisingly good lunch on board
Originally we were going to take the ferry to the Black Sea end of the Bosphorus but the complications of either getting a bus back or being stuck there for 3 hours put us off.
In November the "special offer" of a return boat trip with commentary and lunch for €35 each in the tour company web site!
We were picked up on time at our hotel at 12:30 and after a short bus trip collecting a few more people we arrived at the boat.
Fortunately it was far from crowded and we had chosen this day due to a good weather forecast.
Everything went well and we enjoyed a very good lunch - much better than we might have feared. The commentary was a little laborious and not very
clear on the top open deck but actually it was a very enjoyable trip - expesially given the good warm and sunny weather (November!)
We disembarked for about 40 mins at the end point (Anadolu Kavagi)
We arrived back in Istanbul at about 18:30 and the bus took us back to the hotel.
Overall it was good value and a worthwhile trip.
